Shubham Karoti Gurukula is a charitable residential school for girls spread across 12 acres, it aims to restore our Indian culture and ethos “Swastha Susamskruta Samajada Nirmana” as the founders call it. The name Shubham Karoti itself means ‘Do Good Deeds’ in Sanskrit. Spoken language is ‘Sanskrit’, medium of instruction is ‘Kannada’ and children are taught numerous activities to develop their all-around personality.
On the auspicious day of “Vyasa Poornima”, 22nd July year 1994 the opening of the Gurukula was inaugurated by the Poojya Swamijee Sri Sri Sri Vishveshwara Teerta of Pejawar Math, Udupi and by Sri Ramdas M Kamat. It is located in Ramohalli (near Kengeri), Bengaluru.
It is about 25 km from the city center and close to the famous Big Banyan Tree.
GURUKULA EDUCATION
The Gurukula Education is designed for a period of 6 years, under 6 steps from 5th std to 10th std. While designing care has been taken to see, quenching the urges of Natural Developments of Physical, Emotional and Mental growth of Childhood and adolescence, thereby the Spirit and Energy are properly channelized and utilized.
ADMISSION
Girls aged 10 years 10 months having a family background, 5th class completed are basically eligible for admission after a simple general interview. Presently every year 15 no of Girls are admitted. One child from one family, to represent different districts, the parents who wish to provide their children with the Gurukula Education.
CURRICULUM
A right curriculum is like a backbone to sustain stability and for a successful result. Keeping this in mind the Gurukula curriculum is planned and designed by taking the inputs from the ancient values with a modern perspective both balanced and harmonized aiming to achieve the integral personality development.
Food and Education of Gurukula
The food and Education expenses per day covering the total inmates of the Gurukula children the Cost is Rs 15000/- per day
Food for Pupil
For a pupil, a balanced dieted simple food covering two meals and snacks, the minimum cost will be Rs 3000/-per month.
Education for Pupil
For a pupil, the least of the cost per month needed to impart Education under the Gurukula pattern is Rs 2000/- per month.
